Small Wine Chillers – Enjoy Entertaining Without Worrying About Wine Storage
Are you looking forward to entertaining friends and family over the festive season? Do you have enough room to store the drinks? Have you thought about looking at the options of Small Wine Chillers? If you don’t want to spend ages searching the internet for ideas read on. Just imagine laying the table without worrying if the wine is at the right temperature. When entertaining the refrigerator is usually packed full leaving very little room for beers, fizzy drinks let alone the wine bottles. With the exception of the wine connoisseur how many of us really know what temperature to serve wine at?
If you are anything like me you just put the white or champagne in the fridge until ready to serve, and the red? Just open it, without giving a thought to where it has been stored or the temperature of the room. With the great selection of wines available from around the world it can be confusing for many people to know the details around temperatures. For instance most people will have heard the expression “Room Temperature” in relation to serving red wine. But if you think about it that will depend on where you are in the world, the time of year and individual central heating/air con thermostats!
I’m Not Drinking Any Merlot!
Merlot has a bad reputation.
I’m not sure what gave Merlot such a low status: it could have been Miles’ (character in the Sideways movie) disgust towards the varietal, or perhaps our own sour memories of cheap wine in college. Whatever the reason, Merlot is down and she’s not getting back up. The hatred towards this rather innocent grape goes deeper than one might think. When I offer a wine selection to guests, I’m always careful to mention a Merlot. I know I’ll lose my credibility if they are a Merlot hater! Come to think of it, I tip toe around the topic of Merlot, chardonnay and Riesling all the time.
Merlot has all the great qualities of Cabernet, and sometimes, it has exactly what diners want. When I get a request for a “full bodied wine with a smooth finish”, the first wines I think of usually are Merlot or Merlot based red wine blends. With juicy plum, blueberry and blackberry flavors, Merlot often out-performs Cabernet in the same price bracket.

A Review Of Moet and Amp – Chandon Non Vintage Brut Imperial Champagne
No matter if you have a passion for champagne or sparkling white wine, Moet & Chandon brut imperial champagne is just perfect for that special occasion or romantic night out. One of the wine worlds best known brands, it has a seductive and rich flavor. Only grapes grown in the Champagne region of France can be turned into “champagne” wines, and this name is reserved in most countries of the world. There’s also a special way of producing champagne known as the methode champenoise.
While it is often enjoyed at big occasions such as parties, engagements and weddings, Moet & Chandon Brut Imperial Champagne can also go nicely with a nice, quiet dinner for two. Its versatility is one of the biggest reasons for its popularity, as it can make a great pairing with so many foods, including pasta, chicken, turkey, red meats, even spicy foods.
